It has been a while since I posted an entry for this blog. There are a few possibilities of what the drought-ending entry would entail. I could plead for further patience while I find the time to prepare another post, I could post the latest Saga, or I could announce that The Shanoa Saga has come to an end. The title of this post ought to have made obvious its intent. This will be the final post for The Shanoa Saga.

I had planned to see this blog to the end, and offline I had accomplished that back in December. The remaining Sagas are sitting in a marble notebook on the floor next to my desk. Unfortunately, those possible entries will remain in that notebook. I would rather not continue to type out that notebook one entry at a time, and frankly, I have no interest in committing the hours, taken away from my other projects, to post the rest of the blog. I have long since stopped playing Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and I see no reason to pretend that writing about it still holds my interest.

Since this blog failed to hold my interest, I can imagine that it had the same effect on anyone reading it. Ever watch someone playing a video game? Ever watch someone’s entire gaming session? Fun stuff, no? Now imagine reading about that session. I wanted The Shanoa Saga to be more than game play summary, but that was all it became with intermittent quips. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

If you are disappointed by this announcement, I would be surprised, and I apologize. I should have made this post weeks ago, but held out in case I changed my mind. I have decided that I want to move on, and that does not include continuing The Shanoa Saga.

Thank you for reading The Shanoa Saga.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. [Insert more pleasantries here . . . or not].

Here it is, Saga 05, where Shanoa journeys to the Skeleton Cave and learns more about Albus’s plans for the villagers of Wygol.

More to come,

Jon K Langdon

“Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity: it must be produced and discharged and used up in order to exist at all.” ~William Faulkner

Saga 05 will be up soon, and then the blog will be back on schedule. For now, here’s Saga 04.

More to come,

Jon K Langdon

Due to a botched plan to check out the VGXPO in Pennsylvania this past weekend, I did not have the time to post the latest Saga. Expect a double post some time this week.

More to come,

Jon K Langdon
